Ingredients

Optional

  • 3-4 tablespoons pure maple syrup, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  • To a high powered blender, add the hemp seeds, water and optional ingredients and blend on high for 1-2 minutes until creamy and white.
  • Pour into containers and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. It can also be frozen.

Notes

  1. For storage, I like these larger glass milk jugs, or sometimes I use these little glass containers as well.
  2. Hemp milk has quite a strong flavor, which is why I use a little extra maple syrup. But you don't have to use any sweetener or vanilla, and you shouldn't if you plan to use it in savory recipes.
  3. It's not necessary to strain it, but if you want a thinner, smoother milk you can strain it through a nut milk bag.
