  1. Omg!! The best vegan gravy I’ve ever had!! Even better than regular gravy.  Only going to use this one even though we aren’t 100% vegan.

  2. This is the most delicious gravy I ever had. I used rice flour and came out perfect.
    Thanks for sharing this recipe.

    1. Maybe someone else has tried it, but I wanted to say liquid aminos is a soy free sauce that would give you similar results in dishes that call for soy sauce. Hope that helps!

  3. So good! I added a bit of white and black pepper and a touch of smoked paprika for some more spice.  Perfect! Thank you

  4. My dinner was almost ready when I was desperate to find an easy gravy recipe to compliment it. Being the lazy cook that I am, I came across this one. I only wanted one serving so basically winged it with the quantities but it turned out amazing. The perfect ingredients make these recipe delicious.

    1. While it technically could be frozen, you would likely need to add more liquids and seriously whisk it or even blend it before serving, as the texture will change quite a bit. Hope that helps!

    1. You could, yes. It will thicken when chilled though, so you’ll need to re-warm it (stove top is best, but microwave works) and add a little water, whisking or stirring until it’s smooth again.

    1. #NutritionalYeast is not the same thing as regular yeast, which is very bad for the human body. Besides tasting delicious on whatever you put it on from avocados, popcorn, or making recipes taste like cheese, Nutritional Yeast is very healthy. Check it out on amazon or #SwansonVitamins at swanson.com. ❤️?✌️

  5. I was searching for a vegan gravy for Thanksgiving and decided to try this one based on the comments. OK everyone, this is just exactly as easy as she said it would be. And it tastes like real gravy! My husband was begging for more. As a pre-Thanksgiving test, we made Poutine (you know the Canadian dish of gravy over french fries, topped with cheese curds.) We didn’t use cheese curds because we don’t do cheese, but we didn’t even need them. This gravy was good enough on its own. I highly recommend!

  6. My favourite gravy recipe!! This time I added  fried mushrooms in olive oil and added a lot of black pepper, a bunch of fresh thyme and sage!

  7. It is amazingly good. I can not believe there is no oil or vegan butter. My husband loved it also. It was the winner in my 3 vegan gravy cook off. I used grated onions.

  8. This is the first time I’ve ever reviewed a recipe (shame on me, I know, because I rely on reviews so much) but this gravy is SO simple, SO fast and SO tasty!!

  9. Another 5 stars!!! I was looking for a vegan gravy for mash potatoes. I wasn’t necessarily looking for “easy” but I loved your reviews. Now this is a staple when I need gravy!!!! Thanks Lots!

  10. My family loves this recipe I add lots of pepper as we are pepper fans.  Last night we  had it on vegan burgers as a faux Salisbury Steak and added mushrooms to half the gravy for our mushroom eaters.  It is tastes rich and indulgent even though there is no oil or vegan butter in it.

  11. This is so good, I have a hard time not continually taking spoonfuls from the pot! I used 2 tsp of McKay’s Vegan “Chicken” Seasoning with 2 C. water instead of the veg. broth and added a pinch of poultry seasoning.

  12. Our favourite gravy by a mile. I add dried rosemary and a little balsamic vinegar to ours. We’ve had this almost every Sunday since March time on our roast and we’re still obsessed with it.
Also – fry some red onions first to go with it and it makes the BEST onion gravy EVER

  13. Delicious and super easy to make. I was, admittedly, skeptical about the inclusion of mustard, but this gravy is yummy! I added some chopped mushrooms and a pinch of thyme and rosemary. This recipe is going to replace my other gravies–which require more time and ingredients.
